Skyward soar: Pinjore welcomes Hot Air Balloon Safari in Haryana

Haryana takes to the skies with inauguration of Hot Air Balloon Safari in Pinjore

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently inaugurated a hot air balloon safari project in Pinjore, Panchkula district, emphasizing the state's vast potential for adventure tourism. The project aims to not only give the region a new identity but also generate employment opportunities.

Gateway to Himachal Pradesh and economic boost

Pinjore-Kalka, located in the Panchkula region, is recognized as the gateway to Himachal Pradesh, holding significant tourism potential. Chief Minister Khattar, who experienced a hot air balloon ride along with other officials, stated that the initiative would receive a grant of ₹72 lakh from the state government for two years as Viability Gap Funding (VGF). The company running the project has set the price at ₹13,000 per person per ride.

Expanding adventure tourism and eco-friendly initiatives

Following the Pinjore event, Chief Minister Khattar also inaugurated water and adventure sports activities at Hathnikund Barrage in Yamunanagar district. He announced the development of a park at Hathnikund Barrage, named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Highlighting tourism as an industry that attracts global visitors, Khattar emphasized the positive impact tourism has on regional development and employment. The chief minister, in his post on social media, welcomed tourists to Haryana and expressed pride in the state's progress in the tourism sector over the past nine years.

Haryana is actively promoting adventure sports in the Shivalik mountain range and developing Pinjore as a tourism destination. Plans include a massive jungle safari park in the Aravalli mountain range and initiatives to enhance eco-tourism in Morni hills. The government aims to attract global tourists and boost employment opportunities through these ventures.
